Super American Idol Post

It's fixed = 50 million people voted and the results were that Katharine, Elliot, and Taylor each got 33% of the vote. Come on Fox. I know America elected Bush, but how stupid do you think we really are. If I wanted to watch a rigged competition, the NBA playoffs are on every night.

I was correct again = in predicting Tuesday night that Elliot would be gone. However, the vote was so close that if Elliot's extra teeth could have voted, he might still be in the competition.

Homecomings = Last night on the results show, each of the final 3 went back to their home town. Taylor and Elliot got parades and official days named after them.

I know that Elliot is the most important person to come out of Virginia since Thomas Jefferson, but it was ridiculous. They showed a little 3 year old girl go crazy when Elliot drove by and scream "That's Elliot" to her mother. Come on, it's not like he invented the dumbwaiter.

I know that Taylor is the best singer to come out of Birmingham since Ozzy, but it was ridiculous. Taylor got to meet 2 mayors and the Govenor. Come on, it's not like he pee'd on the Alamo or bit the head off of a bat. (By the way, the mayor who introduced Taylor at the Hoover mall has to be the white-est dancer I have ever seen.)

Poor Katharine is from L.A. and no one cared. There were no keys to the city or "Katharine Day", although her high school held a special assembly. There was no parade, although it did look like a few people showed up at the big party...at her parent's house.

Who Will Win = Taylor. Taylor has never been in the bottom 3 and a girl won last year. Taylor also has an ace in his back pocket that he can play in the final (No, not Ace Young, his harmonica).

Katharine's only chance in the final is to finally put together two strong performances on the same night. That's right, she is going to need to show major cleavage, and her legs.

I like them both and don't care who wins, but if I hear the words "Soul Patrol" again, I might just stab my eardrums with an ice-pick.
