It is really hard to get kids to stay still for photos.
Nowadays, with digital cameras, it is even harder. Digital cameras have a delay from when you press the button till when the picture takes, so that you have to anticipate the moment of maximal cuteness in order to get the best photo.
I have a few tricks that may help. I will use photos that I took this weekend at Lake Thurmond to demonstrate:
#1 - Make movement a part of the photo. If the kids won't stay still - take an action shot.
#2 - Use the hypnotic, coma-inducing powers of television to help the kids sit still.
