wrong. a sonnet is 14 lines. usually in iambic pentameter. there are several variations on stanzas, and each has a name; shakespearian, italian etc. i can't remember any more and this much made my head hurt. a haiku is a haiku because its supposed to have 17 syllables in exactly 3 lines. Billy
