Good Eats - Anchor Line

Do you like fried seafood?

If so, the best fried seafood that I know of can be found at The Anchor Line in Folly Beach, South Carolina.

The Anchor Line is a Good Friday staple with my family. I recommend a platter with shrimp and shark.

You can also get grilled seafood at Anchor Line, but why would you?

Amazing how the idea of self-sacrifice by abstaining from eating meat on Good Friday has morphed into ordering a $20 grouper entree or stuffing your face with fried goodness from the sea!

WWJD? Probably eat from a fast-food dollar menu - much more of a sacrifice. Sorry for musing.

I didn't know seafood was prepared any way other than fried.
If you ever roll thru Murrell's Inlet, eat at Lee's Inlet Kitchen. The food is excellent and the hush puppies are so good they defy description.
Another good one is in Little River called Crab Catchers. Its really more of a bar than a restaurant, (although we take our kids there) and they serve fried food only. The cool thing there is the "kitchen" is really a big fry pit behind the bartenders--who cook while opening beers. Kinda like Group THerapy with great food. Try the fried corn on the cob. I'm hungry--Billy
