I love discovering new music.
I want Turnipblog readers to leave a comment telling me about the best music album or cd (whatever you want to call it) that you think I have never heard.
I will download the albums and write a review.
Whoever suggested the best album will win, something.
If you suggest an album that I have already heard - You lose.

"Jerusalem" by Steve Earle.
"Appetite for Destruction" by Guns n Roses.
!!! (Pronounced CHK CHK CHK) album "Myth Takes"
I guess you heard all these?
I had heard "Appetite for Destruction".
The others, I had not.
I have not been able to download "Jerusalem" yet, but am working on it.
I listened to and liked "Heart of Saturday Night" and "Myth Takes".
The winner - SO FAR - is "Closing Time" by Tom Waits. This is a truly great album that I had never heard.
I had always hated Tom Waits. Some of his stuff with The Babies is OK, but the "Missing You" video made me want to barf.
Steve Earle is an alt country liberal activist god. You will want to listen to everything he's recorded since he got out of jail following drug bust in '95 or so, then go back and listen to his drug era music too.
1)History of the beer bong - Skunkweed
2)The very special world of Lee Hazlewood - Lee Hazlewood
Enjoy!
